Lisa Blum, PT, DPT, CYT, is the owner and clinical director of Tula as well as a practicing physical therapist in the office. She has experience in treating an array of musculoskeletal injuries and neurological conditions. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at CUNY Hunter College and holds a bachelors of science degree from CUNY Queens College in Nutrition and Exercise Science.
She has been a structural yoga instructor and practitioner for 15 years and uses the foundations of these teachings along with strength training principles to shape the way she practices physical therapy.
Lisa is passionate about keeping up with the latest research in the field and applying her knowledge, experience, and skills to helping her patients reach their goals and improve their quality of life. Lisa’s physical therapy techniques include a combination of manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education and exercise prescription to help patients return to living normal pain free lives.
In her free time, Lisa is an adjunct professor at LIU Brooklyn and co-teaches clinical anatomy to both Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant Students.
